The Los Angeles Dodgers extended veteran third baseman Max Muncy on Thursday as they continue to lock down the core which has won back-to-back World Series championships.

Muncy’s extension gives him $7 million for the 2027 season, and has a club option for $10 million in 2028. The extension is a great move for the Dodgers, as they’ve retained one of the best bats in their lineup at a team-friendly price.

The 35-year-old stated last season he wants to stay with the Dodgers for the remainder of his career, and wants to play in MLB for a few more seasons.
