Kobbie is showing his class

The Academy graduate was watched by England boss Thomas Tuchel in the 1-1 draw at West Ham United, last time out, and is pushing for a recall at international level, ahead of this summer's World Cup finals.

Having had to be patient for his opportunity this term, he was selected by Darren Fletcher for the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, after returning from injury as a substitute at Burnley.

The Manchester derby win over City was his first Premier League start of 2025/26 and, yet, he showed no signs of any rustiness.

The 20-year-old has kept his place in the XI ever since, and registered two assists - for Matheus Cunha's winner at Arsenal and Bryan Mbeumo's well-worked opener at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
