Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football coach Dino Babers apologized for a public remark Monday in which he said the community needs to be more mature about handling the success of the program.
"I used the wrong word," Babers told Brent Axe ahead of a radio interview that will air Wednesday afternoon on ESPN Radio Syracuse's 'On the Block.'
"I don't write speeches. I like to just go up and do it cold-turkey, whether people believe that or not, I've done every talk or every speech I've ever had like that since I've been hired here, and I just used the wrong word.
